OTC's 6640 is designed for use on passive shock absorbers as well as shock absorbers that have electrical terminals coming through the center of the tenion and the mounting nut deep into the top mount. Typical sockets cannot be used in these applications; tension must be held with a 9mm open end wrench - this design will allow this interaction to ease the repair. Tool features an 18mm hex with 1/2 inch square drive. For select vehicles with electronic or passive shock absorbers: CHRYSLER: 2006 and newer 200, 300, Sebring, Town & Country; DODGE: 2006 and newer Avenger, Caliber, Challenger, Charger, Magnum, Ram 1500; 2008 and newer Caravan, Grand Caravan, Journey; JEEP: 2006 and newer Compass, Patriot, Grand Cherokee; MITSUBISHI: 2006 and newer Outlander, Raider.
